Job Description

Materials Handler II-12 month Contract

Location of job: Albany, NY

Responsibilities:

* Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment * Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items * Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges * Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift * Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped * Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines * Managing the non-inventory items stored for each business unit (moving, labeling, and updating holding lists) * Responsible for managing all items allocated for scrap and coordinating with scrap supplier * Manages storage requests for special projects/shipments ? Warehouse storage management and space allocation * Coordinate crating requests for all special needs return materials authorizations

Qualifications:

* Demonstrate mechanical aptitude including ability to use hand tools * Applies general math skills including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division * Familiar with SAP inventory management a plus * Ability to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly * Adhere to safety procedures consistent with the use of hand and power tools


Typical Education and Experience
Associate's Degree or minimum of 2 years of related experience; high school diploma or equivalent required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Ranges$16.46 - $20.75

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
