Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to travel, work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.

Pay Range: Starting at $28.00 an hour

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs thorough inspection of railcars/railcar components
  • Maintains current knowledge of government, industry (FRA & AAR), customer, and company policy, procedures, and work instructions
  • Inspects and ensures workmanship meets government, industry (FRA & AAR), customer, and company quality requirements
  • Proficient in the interpretation of drawings and specification, including weld and nondestructive testing symbols
  • May participate in root-cause investigations, and corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence
  • Complete Daily JSA's for job to be performed
  • Complete Confined Space Entry Permits or Retain Copy of Confined Space Permit
  • Create reports to document inspections per customer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ensures FRA, AAR and/or ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
  • Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task

Job Qualifications:

  • 10 years minimum Railcar Repair, Painting and Lining industry experience
  • May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
