Description

The Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Team currently has an opening for an EHS Intern located in our global headquarters in Peoria, Illinois.

As an EHS Intern at Caterpillar, you will assist the Corporate EHS Team with two (2) environmental, industrial health, or safety projects which will be completed by the end of your internship and will add direct value to the company and to your career.

Job Duties/Responsibilities will be assigned according to your qualifications and may include, but are not limited to:

• Trend analysis of global environmental or safety data in line with our Sustainability Goals
• Safety and environmental culture initiatives
• Development of proactive programs
• Delivery of EHS learning to assist our facilities worldwide
• Industrial hygiene sampling at one of our manufacturing facilities

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently attending a 4-year accredited university/college pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in the fields of Environmental, Industrial Health, or Safety
• Minimum cumulative GPA requirement 2.8 (no rounding)
• Graduation date must be December 2022 and beyond
• Past experience in project work
• Demonstrated leadership that requires organizing or working with groups
• Must be able to relocate to Peoria, IL area or indicated work location for duration of internship, and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation.
