This is a 12-week paid learning experience with the Network Performance and Optimization team to supervise important metrics and to work with engineers to resolve the best course of action needed to impact the network for our customers. You will be pulling daily important metric trends to analyze the data with the other specialists. You will also participate in the daily performance calls and eventually own the call as your experience increases. Responsibilities Working on our Technology Team means everything from reporting, data and process analysis, partnering with the market engineering site development team in building/upgrading wireless sites, real time subscriber services and integrating services onto T-Mobile's IP network to engineering design, device performance testing, radio access network evolution, security infrastructure and network support (just to name a few). You'll give your creativity and phenomenal ideas, working alongside innovative colleagues and mentors who will push you to be your very best. We'll give you hands-on projects and the chance to create an immediate impact. Here are some of the responsibilities you could have as an Engineering Intern:
Provide recommendations to Engineering to ensure operational needs are taken into account and assist to define monitoring, troubleshooting, and procedural requirements. Lead efforts to respond to performance related issues and trends prior to impact on services. Develop proactive initiatives geared towards exceeding network important metrics. Participate in the interview process for other senior level Tier 2 engineers
Trouble Ticket and Work Order Generation
Work with engineers to analyze data and course of action to take with hands on approach to solutions
Parameter checking (direct access into sites as your experience expands)
Participate in the daily performance calls and even lead the call as you gain more experience
Qualifications
Looking for someone who is pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Telecommunications. Telecommunication courses taken (either wireless or microwave type of classes)
Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Knowledge of Excel a must)
You're a self-starter with a passion for learning who is not afraid to ask questions. Things change and move fast on this team and your ability to quickly adapt, change direction, and think on your feet without missing a beat is critical.

Recruiting Timeline Recruiting for the 2021 internship program takes place from September 2020 through March 2021. We'll be virtually visiting campuses across the country and virtually attending national recruiting conferences in September through November.
